In the light of recent changes in the law regarding the shipping of acid (Explosives, Precursors and Poisons Regulations), MDS Battery are now offering a battery filling service for "dry charged" motorcycle batteries from our warehouse in Enfield, North London. From 1st July 2018 it has been illegal to sell or supply sulphuric acid to any member of the public who does not hold a valid EPP Licence. This has meant that all "dry charged" motorcycle batteries now have to be shipped dry without the acid. Up until now we have offered a free filling service to anyone who has bought a battery from ourselves but in view of the new regulations, we will now fill batteries even if they have been bought from another supplier. The service will be available from our North London warehouse (details below) and is available Monday to Friday from 9.00AM to 4.00PM. Filling a battery normally takes 10-15 minutes so we can do it while you wait - or if you prefer you can leave the battery with us and collect it later. Our battery filling service costs £10 per battery. This service is only available to over 18s and photo ID is required.
