Buying Mobility Scooter Batteries

11 October 2017  |  Tom

If you are a disabled person and rely on your mobility scooter, the last thing you need is power problems. Here's our advice about replacing your mobility scooter batteries.

Unfortunately batteries do not last forever. Depending on the type of usage and how you look after your batteries, you can realistically expect a lifespan of 3 to 5 years.

If you notice your scooter losing range or running a bit slowly, then it's probably time to look at replacing your batteries.

If your batteries are relatively new and failing sooner than you would expect, then we would recommend checking that your charger is working properly. Mobility scooters typically use a pair of 12V sealed lead acid batteries, connected together to run as 24V; the scooters are normally supplied with a dedicated charger to charge them in situ.

We are the UK importers for CSB Battery, the world's leading manufacturer of lead acid batteries, and stock a full range of batteries suitable for most types of mobility scooter and powered wheelchair.
