Please note that unlike other iPod models this battery does not simply plug in inside the iPod and the connections need to be soldered. This is a simple operation for anyone with basic soldering skills but it is not recommended for a complete novice.

You should be aware that a small number of TomTom devices use Torx Security screws which have a raised dome in the middle of the star shape in the screw head and the drivers in this toolkit are not suitable for use on this type of screw. If you have security Torx screws in your device you should obtain a Torx Security screw-driver elsewhere before you buy the battery you require.
