Right to cancel policy Terms and Conditions Guarantee Delivery

1. Consumer Law

MDS will meet its obligations under the Consumer Protection Laws currently in force.

2. Faulty Goods

If goods are faulty or different from those ordered MDS will make a full refund - this refund will be made as soon as possible or at the latest within 30 days of agreeing to give the refund - see separate returns policy.

3. Mistakes in bills, receipts or payments

MDS undertakes to correct any mistakes in bills, receipts or payments as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days of agreement to do so.

3. Complaints/Disputes

MDS has an effective system for handling complaints/disputes and we will:

a. Acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.

b. Advise you how long it will take to resolve the complaint.

c. Keep you fully informed throughout the process.

d. If a dispute is not resolved you can contact the Which? Web Trader dispute resolution service. This independent service is free and available to all consumers on-line. Contact details are:

1. Data protection act
MDS will meet the conditions of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).

2. Privacy policy
The consumer has the option to withhold personal information, which is not needed for the transaction. All information relating to the transaction will be collected and stored by MDS. MDS will not collect sensitive personal information without the explicit consent of the consumer (for example, health or ethnic origin).

MDS will allow customers easy access to their own personal information and ensure it is accurate and up to date. Information is collected during the registration and purchasing processes and is used in order to facilitate swift delivery of goods ordered through the site. MDS also undertakes to tell the consumer if it going to transfer personal information outside the European Economic Area.

You will not receive any marketing material from MDS unless you specifically state that you wish to receive it, at the point of registration. If you decide that you wish to receive marketing material but later change your mind, you may unsubscribe from the newsletter by sending an e-mail to newsletter@mdsbattery.co.uk, entering UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

3. Security policy
MDS undertakes to ensure that their web site is secure so that consumers' personal information and transactions remain confidential and cannot be interfered with and that the content of the MDS site cannot be interfered with.

Our customer support and service telephone is: freefone 0800 310 2100 and is available 0930 hrs to 1700 hrs Monday to Friday - cost of calls will be at normal standard rates.

MDS is committed to ensuring you are completely happy with your purchase. 

However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase please follow the procedure below

a. Keep all materials shipped and return within 30 days of invoice date.

b. Opened items can only be exchanged if faulty.

c. Credit will not be issued against goods returned without prior authorisation and obtaining from MDS the relevant "Goods return number". Postage/carriage and packaging is excluded and goods returned must be prepaid on return to MDS. However in the case of faulty goods postage and carriage will be refunded by MDS under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).

You have the right to cancel the contract for whatever reason within 7 working days from the date you receive the goods. An exemption to this is when we supply goods made to your own specification or personalised for you. If you cancel the order we will re-imburse you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days of the notice of cancellation. Goods should be prepaid to our base. You should request a "Goods Return Number" from us prior to returning the goods. 

Goods are not supplied on a trial basis. Faulty goods will be refunded or replaced upon request. Please notify us of any damages or discrepancies within 7 days of receipt for a refund less postage/carriage and handling. Please see our "Returns Policy". All prices and offers are subject to availability. VAT has been calculated at 17.5% and is payable on all goods despatched in the UK. We do not charge credit cards until goods are available for dispatch. Cheques will be processed once goods are available. All items will be despatched within 7 days. In instances that items are out of stock and delivery will be delayed MDS will notify customers of the situation immediately. You have the right to cancel within 7 days of the receipt of goods and we will refund monies within 30 days. See separate right to cancel policy. 

We reserve the right to refuse to sell to any customer of our choice.

New goods are guaranteed for a period of 1 year from date of purchase on a return to base basis. This is in addition to the Consumers' statutory rights

We will undertake to deliver within 30 days unless mutually agreed otherwise but would normally despatch ex stock within 24 hours - Monday to Friday.
