Clicking on any department on the left hand navigation bar brings up a page with a search box and a list of brands of computer that the products in the department fit. Clicking on any brand name will bring up another page with a list of models of that brand and department. Clicking on any model (e.g. Acer Notepad 350) leads to a page with a listing of products that fulfil that requirement. Clicking on the image or description of any of the products leads to the product description page.

Searching by Make and Model from the home page of the site brings up a listing of all products on the web site (in all departments) that would fit into that description sorted by the type of product.

Certain products are only available in certain countries. You can see which countries the products are available in by looking at the flag icons displayed underneath the products. The icons have the following meanings:

= This product is available in the United Kingdom
= This product is available in the United States of America
= This product is available in the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Finland, France, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom)
= This product is available in the Rest of the World (i.e. any other country not stated above).

The MDS Battery server uses Netscape's Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This means that both your browser and our server authenticate each other and encrypt information passing between the two.

All of your personal information including credit card details, name and address, is encrypted so it cannot be read as it travels over the Internet. In addition, you will probably be aware that most Credit Cards provide for a maximum liability of just £50 in the event of unauthorised use and we encourage you to check to with your credit card company to verify this.

If you do not wish to send your details over the Internet, then you can use the other methods of payment mentioned above.

The consumer has the option to withhold personal information, which is not needed for the transaction. All information relating to the transaction will be collected and stored by MDS. MDS will not collect sensitive personal information without the explicit consent of the consumer (for example, health or ethnic origin).

MDS will allow customers easy access to their own personal information and ensure it is accurate and up to date. Information is collected during the registration and purchasing processes and is used in order to facilitate swift delivery of goods ordered through the site. MDS also undertakes to tell the consumer if it is going to transfer personal information outside the European Economic Area.

You will not receive any marketing material from MDS unless you specifically state that you wish to receive it, at the point of registration. If you decide that you wish to receive marketing material but later change your mind, you may unsubscribe from the newsletter by sending an e-mail to newsletter@<%=GetSiteName()%>, entering UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.
