Please note that coin cells are marked in the following format

CR 20 16

Where the CR two letters indicate chemistry type with CR meaning Chrome lithium, and VL would mean Vanadium Pentoxide lithium etc.
Strangley, Duracell decided to start all their Duracell coin cells with DL just to confuse.

The next two digits represent the diameter of the cell, so 20 means 20mm diameter.

The final 2 digits represent the thickness of the battery in 10th of a millimeter, so 16 means 1.6 millimeter thickness.

The smaller watch batteries have a whole pile of different conventions from LR41 LR44 LR920 LR927 or SR716 AG13 and many other schemes, call us to identify the battery you need from the old code numbers.
