Kawasaki Motorcycles - Company History
Don't you just love the names that some of the Japanese motorcycle companies have? Kawasaki is actually called Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd for example. But as with many companies, Kawasaki got its name from founder Shozo Kawasaki, and actually not the city of Kawasaki as some believe.
The Kawaksaki company's reach extends accross a number of different industries including all-tarrain vehicles, industrial machinery, tractors, small engines, aircraft, jet skis and, of course, motorcycles.
When it comes to motorcycles, Kawasaki may not have been as prolific as Yamaha however, they have made some noticable machines such as the Vulcan 1500 Drifter, the Eliminator, the KL250 G, the off-roader KLX 650, the ZZR1200 street bike, the Ninja 650R 650cc, the sport-tourer ZG 1000 A Concours and hte now defunct Kawasaki H2 Series
