Batteries For Christmas Lights

Written by admin on November 2nd, 2011

If you have some battery operated Christmas lights and last year you got fed up having to constantly replace them when not get some rechargeable AA batteries? We know that fairy lights might not be as high draining as digital cameras, but if you’re using them virtually constantly from mid-November then you’ll probably need to change them.

If you don’t already have a charger for AA batteries, then we stock the Energizer Quattro 2000 Charger for £18.99 which comes with four batteries (which can also be bought separately for £10.79). The advantage of buying these is that obviously that you don’t have to keep buying disposable ones which is great for reducing the cost of Christmas as well as helping the environment. The only downside is that often you’ll need at least three batteries to power your outdoor Christmas lights.

Given a full charge can take 8.5 hours and that we rarely get that amount of sunlight a day where we’d turn off our Christmas lights you may wish to buy some more – or simply just charge them up once a week or so.

An alternative would be to buy our very cheap AA batteries which only cost £3.79 for a pack of 10 and are made by Duracell. These should also last a good while and can’t be bought in your local supermarket. We also help keep the Christmas down by offering free delivery on all of our products.

Obviously you’ll need to check which type of batteries your indoor or outdoor Christmas lights actually requires – generally we can cater for all your needs, so just have a look at our Duracell and Energizer pages.
