MDS Battery Ltd offer a fast and hassle-free TomTom battery replacement
service but before you send your TomTom to us please read the following
terms and conditions:
Step 2. Before you send your TomTom:
If your TomTom is less than one year old or
is under an extended warranty then you should be aware that using
our battery replacement service might invalidate any manufacturer or seller
warranty that you have.
If you store music or data files, these are normally not affected by the battery replacement, but please
make sure that everything is backed-up.
Please only send the the TomTom Satnav unit on its' own, we do not need the memory card, or car mount, please only send the GPS unit alone.
Please be assured that we will always treat each TomTom that we receive
with the utmost care and our service engineers are highly skilled in this work.
Step 3. How to send your TomTom to us:
You should print out and fill in the TomTom
Battery Replacement Order Form. Then securely pack your TomTom in a
suitable protective package along with the completed form and send them
together to us at the address on the form. We advise that you use an insured
service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery because we cannot accept responsibility
for your TomTom until it reaches us.
Once we have received your TomTom:
We will check that your TomTom is suitable for battery replacement and
then we will contact you to take your payment details. We will then replace
the battery, usually within 24 hours, but at busy times this period
may increase. When completed we will send your TomTom back to you by DHL
courier service and email the tracking number to you so you know when
to expect delivery.

Currently all trackable shipments are sent via DHL courier service and these can be tracked at www.dhl.co.uk using the tracking number sent to you by email.
If we cannot confirm your TomTom is suitable for battery replacement
we can still replace it but we will call you first to confirm that you
want us to go ahead. If you decide that you do not want us to do this
and you want the TomTom sent back to you then there will be no charge for
checking the TomTom but there will be a charge of £6.99 to return it to
you.
When you get your TomTom back:
Your TomTom will be working when you get it and the battery will have
some charge in it, but you should fully charge it before use and please
be aware that the battery gauge on the display may not function as you
expect until the battery has been fully charged and run flat a few times.
You will also need to reset the time and date.
If you have a problem:
MDS Battery Ltd give a 12 month warranty on every new battery that
is bought from us. This means that if the battery stops working during
that time then we will replace it for you free of charge but the warranty
does not cover any other faults or any damage caused to the battery by
another fault.
If you have a problem with your TomTom and you believe that the battery
we have fitted is at fault then you should call our sales team on 0800
310 2100 to obtain a Returns Number. Once you have got this you
should then send the TomTom to us quoting the number you are given so we
can check the problem. If the battery is faulty we will replace it free
of charge and return the TomTom to you. However if the problem is not covered
by the warranty then we will contact you to advise you further.
